What many people do not know is that there are different types of Samba. There is Samba no Pé, the carnival samba that we do here at the London school of Samba. The key features are that it is a solo dance and accompanied by a live band (Bateria). However, there are partner samba versions that include Samba De Gafieira and Ballroom samba.

On Strictly Come Dancing they do ballroom samba. Even though the samba is completely different the TV show wanted us to help the celebrity (Danny off Hollyoaks) to feel that Samba vibe and energy. To do this we all met in a club in Central London for filming.
