The London School of Samba 2012 Carnivals theme’ Passando a Chama – Passing the flame’ has created some amazing and exciting costumes (like our beautiful ala Passista female costume, below, designed by Elin Ritter of Posto9 Samba Couture) that will be fun and easy to make , click HERE to see the rest of this year’s designs.

If you are parading in carnival you need to attend at least 5 workshop sessions between May and July, but we recommend coming as often as you can to ensure your costume is completed on time and to help out the whole team. Even if you’re not performing you are still welcome to come down and help out.

Workshops will be on Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5.30 -8.30pm and Sundays 12-5 pm @ the Biscuit FactoryBlock J Unit 213, 100 Clements Rd, SE16 4DG.

Sewing skills aren’t needed, just plenty of commitment and enthusiasm please! Until all alas/groups are allocated a costume workshop schedule we will be working on call costumes in general and we’ll need your help and support. As soon as the production schedule has been decided we will put it up on our 2012 Carnivals Costume page. So from Thursday 10th May come down to the Biscuit Factory  and get your glue gun trigger fingers firing! For more info contact Rachel on [email protected].

See you all there!
