For many at London School of Samba, Emilce de Alexandre was one of the faces of Notting Hill Carnival and it is with great sadness that she passed away shortly before Notting Hill this year.
Tomorrow morning our dear friend will be laid to rest.

1 – Calendar for Emilce’s farewell:
- Tuesday 23 Sep 2014 at 10:00 – Funeral Service at Golders Green Crematorium.
- Tuesday 23 Sep 2014 at 12:15 – Gathering at Barraco.
- Friday 26 Sep 2014 at 19:30 – Mass in Portuguese at Our Lady, Queen of Heaven, Catholic Church in Queensway.

Notes for tomorrow:
Please be mindful with the timings as the service will be held at 10am sharp and will last 30 min only.
Arrival time: could those with instruments, please arrive at 09:30am to be introduced to Mr Jason Agnew, Emilce’s friend,to decide which music to play.
Dress code: LSS was a huge part in Emilce’s life, so, please LSS members wear LSS t-shirt or hoodie.
Order of the day: will be distributed on arrival.
Gathering: After the service, we will head to Barraco, a Brazilian restaurant, which has been booked for us as from 12:15. It is about 20min ride from the crematorium on the 328 bus.
